250K Pacifica and Voyager minivans recalled for side airbag issues

Stellantis has issued a voluntary recall on just over 250,000 Chrysler minivans.

According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall covers certain Pacifica and Voyager minivans from model years 2022 through 2025, due to an issue with the side airbags.

"The right and left side curtain airbags may have insufficient pressure retention from improperly sealed seams," read the recall from the NHTSA.

Recall notices are being mailed out to affected customers.

Stellantis said it was not aware of any collisions or injuries caused by the side airbags.

"Dealers will inspect and replace the side curtain airbags, as necessary, free of charge," read the recall notice. "Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available."
