The Grey County CP Rail Trail is now closed to all users until further notice following significant damage caused by recent severe weather.
County officials reported that multiple sections of the trail have experienced washouts, and numerous trees and limbs have fallen due to recent ice storms and high winds. The closure is a precautionary measure to protect public safety and prevent additional damage.
Trail users are asked to avoid the area entirely while staff work to assess and address the hazardous conditions. At this time, there is no estimated timeline for when the trail will reopen.
Grey County staff are actively working to clear debris and repair the trail, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
