West Grey Library hosts fraud awareness session with legal expert

In recognition of Fraud Awareness Month, the West Grey Public Library is offering residents a valuable opportunity to learn how to protect themselves from scams.

On Thursday, March 20, at 4:30 p.m., the library’s Durham Branch will host an Ask a Lawyer session featuring Angela from the Grey Bruce Community Legal Clinic.

The session, held at 185 George St. S., will cover various types of fraud, including online scams, phone and text-based cons, and other deceptive tactics used by fraudsters.

While scams often target seniors, Angela will emphasize that people of all ages are at risk.

Attendees are encouraged to bring any legal questions they may have, as Angela will be available to provide guidance beyond fraud awareness.

To reserve a spot, interested participants can sign up via Eventbrite. Additional information is available on the West Grey Public Library website (www.westgreylibrary.com), by phone at 519-369-2107, or via email at adultprograms@westgreylibrary.com.
