Police and community members continue to assist the family of a teenage boy who has been missing since last Friday in the search to bring him home.
The boy, identified by police only as Hunter, was last seen around 10:40 a.m. on February 28. Police received a report about three hours later concerning a teen missing from a property on South Street in Goderich.
Kayla Geddes, a friend of the family who has been helping with the search, says this isn't like Hunter to be gone so long and not contact anyone, and he left his wallet and phone behind.
"Day five is very out of character for Hunter. He's going through a rough patch, some teenage boy rough times you could call it, but he would never leave his mother for five days. So, this is not like Hunter at all, and we are very worried for his well-being and we just want him home safe," Geddes stated.
Hunter is described as a white male, 6' 3", with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a camo coat, a grey hoodie, Blundstone boots, and black snow pants.
Geddes says she's always known Hunter to be a kind and fun kid.
"He's a very fun and outgoing man, so easy to talk to and get along with. He loves the outdoors, loves to fish, has snowmobiles, he's just a regular teenage boy," added Geddes.
If you have any information regarding Hunter's whereabouts, please call the Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers. Geddes says anyone who may know something can feel free to contact her, as well, at 519-441-1931.
