A Mount Forest man has been charged following a recent shoplifting incident.
On March 1 around 1 p.m., Wellington County OPP officers responded to reports of thefts from two retailers on Main Street North in Mount Forest.
Police were told a suspect had allegedly taken $80 in groceries from one store and $250 in electronics from another.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 51-year-old man from Mount Forest with two counts of Theft Under $5000.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
