Arran-Elderslie mayor inviting residents to join him for coffee

Residents of Arran-Elderslie will be able to get a little face time with the mayor over a cup of joe this week.

Mayor Steve Hammell will be hosting the first of three "coffee with the mayor" events in the municipality on Tuesday at the Tara Community Centre at 150 Hamilton St. in Tara. The event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., will provide local residents with a chance to ask the mayor questions, share ideas, voice concerns, and discuss upcoming community projects.

"I'm excited to connect with our community at the Coffee with the Mayor event," Hammell said. "I encourage everyone to bring their thoughts and questions, or simply stop by for a conversation over a cup of coffee."

Hammell added that it will be a welcoming and a relaxed setting for all.

The event is open to everyone to attend with no registration required.

For people who can't attend this time around, there will be two more coffee with the mayor events later this year. One is being planned in Paisley on June 3, the other will be held in Chesley on October 7.
