The case of a youth accused of first-degree murder in Holmesville last summer still does not have a trial date.
On Friday morning, the youth, defence and crown attorneys all appeared virtually in Goderich court.
Defence lawyer Robert Morris said they were still waiting on the psychological assessment to be finished to determine, among other things, whether the case is heard in Youth Court or Superior Court.
The Crown said it was ready to move forward setting a trial, pre-trial or resolution date, but couldn't until the defence makes it's election. It was requested that the defence waive its Section 11(b) Charter rights to be tried within a reasonable time.
Justice Timothy MacDonald said that request was effectively granted when Morris asked to adjourn until the assessment was complete.
The matter will return to court on March 20.
