South Bruce Peninsula getting ready for Wiarton Willie

The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is getting the finishing touches ready for the annual Wiarton Willie Fest.

On Sunday, February 2, the annual prediction from the legendary groundhog will let us all know if we get an early spring, or more of old man winter.

The day is set to kick off at 7 a.m. with a fireworks display at Bluewater Park in downtown Wiarton. At 8:07 a.m., Willie will come out and make his prediction. Following Willie's prognostication, there will be a festival held in the park.

This year marks the 69th edition of the Wiarton Willie festivities.
