28 charges laid after break-and-enter at farm property

Huron County OPP have laid a lengthy list of charges against a Zorra Township man following a recent break-and-enter at a farm.

On June 18 at 7 p.m., an unknown individual was caught inside a barn by the property owner on Bayfield Road in Central Huron.

The suspect attempted to speed off on a motorcycle through a field, but the motorcycle got stuck in mud. Police arrived on-scene and arrested the suspect.

As a result, a 47-year-old Zorra Township man faces 28 total charges, including break-and-enter, possession of property obtained by crime, mischief, possession of methamphetamine, and numerous other offences.

The accused was additionally charged with eight Provincial Offences found in the Highway Traffic Act, Cannabis Control Act, and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing, where they were remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
