Hazards:
Locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 15 to 30 cm.
Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour.
Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow.

This evening through Wednesday afternoon.

Discussion:
Lake effect snow off Lake Huron will become more organized this evening. Northwesterly winds gusting to 50 km/h may result in local blowing snow, predominantly for exposed areas near Lake Huron. Lake effect snow will weaken and move out of the area Wednesday afternoon.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Huron-Kinloss residents can learn more about plans for a new dog park.The Huron-Kinloss Community Services Department is moving forward with plans for the dog park located between the Apple Rail Trail entrance and the soccer fields.People have a chance to share ideas and help shape a space for dogs and their owners to enjoy. A community meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 21, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre.Participants can see the proposed design, tentative layouts, and cost estimates.Volunteers are also needed for jobs like brush clearing, organizing a spring clean-up day, or fundraising for additional park features.
