Forecasters call for Friday evening snow

An estimated five to 10 centimetres of snowfall is expected in southwestern and midwestern Ontario heading into the weekend.

Environment Canada issued a winter weather travel advisory Friday afternoon for areas including Sarnia-Lambton, London-Middlesex, Chatham-Kent, Windsor-Essex, Huron County, Perth County, and Bruce County.

The national weather agency said some areas may experience heavier snow, resulting in reduced visibility.

Motorists are being reminded to adjust their speed and driving behaviors according to road conditions.

Winter weather conditions are expected to improve overnight.
