Teen charged in Meaford break-in

The watchful eye of a neighbour helped stop a break-in in Meaford.

The neighbour called Grey Bruce OPP after spotting someone going into the house next door when the residents were not home around 9:15 p.m. on Monday.

Offices arrived at the home on Grey Road 15 and arrested a 17-year-old from South Bruce Peninsula. The teen is charged with breaking and entering to commit an indictable offence and will appear in Owen Sound court in relation to the charge at a later date.

The name of the teen was not released due to their age.

Police remind anyone who sees suspicious activity to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 911.
