Fuel truck driver injured in Huron County rollover

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Huron County say one person has been injured in a single-vehicle crash in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township on Friday.

Police say it happened just before 1 p.m. on Cherrydale Road near Benmiller. First responders arrived and saw that a fuel truck had rolled over.

The driver of the truck was located and treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Diesel fuel and gasoline were on the truck, and cleanup crews were called to remove the cargo.

The Goderich Fire Department and Huron County Paramedic Services also responded.

Cherrydale Road was closed to allow the investigation and cleanup to be completed.

Police say the road is still closed.
