Police looking for witnesses in youth homicide investigation

Huron County OPP are appealing for witnesses to help with their investigation into a homicide that took place in Holmesville.

Police charged a youth with first degree murder of a another youth on Wednesday.

Now they are appealing for more information, asking to speak with anyone who was in the area of the closed Holmesville Public School on Cut Line Road between noon and 4:15 p.m. on July 2.

They also ask that any motorists that travelled through the area during that time check their dashcams for any footage that may assist with the investigation.

The youth facing first degree murder charges had an appearance in Goderich court Friday. They were remanded in custody with another appearance set for Thursday morning.
