Hanover police services have arrested a 23-year-old woman for breaching bail and obstructing justice.

According to Police Chief Christopher Knoll, officers located the woman walking with someone with whom she was on a court order not to communicate with.

Knoll said upon further investigation police discovered the Hanover woman was attempting to influence a Crown witness in her case.

The suspect remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing later Sunday afternoon.

Knoll reminds the public that influencing or coaching witnesses on their testimony against you is a serious criminal offence.
