Memorial hockey tournament donates over $23,000 to Seaforth hospital

The Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation recently received a donation of over $23,150 from the annual Matt Huether Memorial Hockey Tournament.

Hosted by the local Young Buck’s hockey team, the annual spring event is held in memory of Huether, a friend and Londesborough native who passed away in 2018.

Last year’s tournament raised over $20,000 for the hospital foundation, and the donation grew by $3,000 in 2023.

The foundation says the funds will allow the Emergency Department to purchase a Slit Lamp to assess eye injuries and a Tornado for cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment.
