RIDE program turns up knife, cocaine

Provincial police say an Owen Sound woman is facing charges after officers found cocaine and a knife in a vehicle that was stopped at a RIDE program.

In the early morning hours of October 24, Grey Bruce OPP stopped a driver while performing a RIDE program on Highway 21 in Georgian Bluffs.

Police said the driver was arrested and found to be in possession of cocaine and a knife, as well as being a prohibited driver.

A 48-year old Owen Sound woman has been charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order, possession of a controlled substance, operation while prohibited, and driving while under suspension.
