The Durham Hospital's emergency department will be shuttered Tuesday night, as the South Bruce Grey Health Centre announced the latest round of temporary ER closures.
Durham's ER will reopen Wednesday at 7 a.m. before the facility faces more closures this weekend. The emergency department will be closed Saturday from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will also be overnight closures on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of next week (September 17-19).
Due to insufficient staffing, the Walkerton ER will have four straight nights of closures starting on Thursday and running until Sunday (September 14-17). Each closure will start at 5 p.m. and end at 7 a.m. the following morning.
Finally, the SBGHC reminds residents that the Chesley ER remains closed until Monday, September 25.
Coincidentally, that's the same day local activists plan on visiting Queens Park to advocate for more consistent rural healthcare.
