The OPP and Owen Sound Police Service are now considering the investigation into a brutal attack on a local restaurant owner a homicide after the victim succumbed to his injuries.
Police released photos of the suspects and suspect vehicle involved in an attack on Sharif Rahman, that occurred on the night of Thursday, Aug. 17 around 9:15 p.m. at the Curry House.
Three Caucasian males had a dispute connected to the business. Two were seen heading southbound on 2nd Avenue East toward the intersection at 9th Street following the incident.
The first male is described as being between 5’10”- 6’2” tall, with a medium build, and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt, black shorts and black running shoes.
The second male is also between 5’10”- 6’2” tall, with a medium build, and short brown hair which is longer on top. He was wearing an orange t-shirt, black shorts and black running shoes.
Police say both are believed to be in their mid-20s to mid-30s in age.
Officials say they're also aware of the third male suspect who is described as having curly hair and being in his late 40s to mid-50s in age.
An employee was also injured during the incident, which drew the immediate ire of Mayor Ian Boddy, and the Owen Sound community as a whole.
Police have also released images of a suspect vehicle they believe was involved.
The vehicle involved is similar to a grey or blue 2000’s model Ford Escape or Mazda Tribute.
