Owen Sound Police have released descriptions of three suspects involved in the assault of a local business owner last week.
According to police, the assault occurred on the night of Thursday, August 17 around 9:15 p.m. at the Curry House, after three Caucasian males had a dispute connected to the business. Two were seen heading southbound on 2nd Avenue East toward the intersection at 9th Street following the incident.
The first male is described as being between 5’10”- 6’2” tall, with a medium build, and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt, black shorts and black running shoes.
The second male is also between 5’10”- 6’2” tall, with a medium build, and short brown hair which is longer on top. He was wearing an orange t-shirt, black shorts and black running shoes.
Police say both are believed to be in their mid-20s to mid-30s in age.
Officials say they're also aware of the third male suspect who is described as having curly hair and being in his late 40s to mid-50s in age.
The victim, owner Sharif Rahman, remains in critical condition in a London Health Sciences hospital.
Owen Sound Mayor Ian Boddy released a statement on August 21 condemning the attacks and calling for community members to come forward if they have information.
Police say they've reviewed video from that evening and are aware that citizens and vehicles were in the area at that time. Anyone who may have observed the males described is encouraged to contact police.
A GoFundMe to support Rahman and his family has raised over $63,000 so far.
