A Sarnia car dealership has made a significant donation to Bluewater Health's COVID-19 fund.
Bluewater Health Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander is thrilled that Progressive Auto Sales has chosen to contribute $25,000.
"We're amazed at how generous our community has been since the launch of this important fund in the fight against COVID-19," said Alexander. "We're so thankful to partners like Progressive Auto Sales for stepping up to the plate when our community needs it most."
She said the money will support the urgent and highest priority needs of Bluewater Health in the fight against the virus.
Progressive Auto Sales President Dan Whitton said it's their way of showing appreciation to hospital staff.
"We'd like to thank our customers and employees who serve our customers, whose support has allowed us to make this donation," he said. "This donation is our way of saying thank you to all our local hospital staff. From the front-line doctors and nurses, to the janitors, administrators, cafeteria workers, and every other Bluewater Health employee. Thank you for all you do."
To date, the fund has raised over $250,000 to support front-line healthcare professionals, and to purchase critical equipment and technology to enhance the ability to diagnose and treat patients during the pandemic and beyond.
