Two Grey County paramedics receive exemplary service medals

Two Grey County paramedics have received the Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal.

Paramedics Jodi MacInnis and Mike LaRocque were honoured for serving at least 20 years, and showing the highest standard of conduct.

The Exemplary Service Medals were awarded during a special gala at the annual Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs conference and meeting.

The award was presented by Honorary Lieutenant-General Richard Rohmer in London on September 20.

“Jodi and Mike are dedicated professionals who are well-deserving of this tremendous honour,” said Grey County Warden Stewart Halliday. “Their devotion to providing excellent care and service makes Grey County a safer place to live, work and play. Grey County is incredibly proud of their accomplishments and grateful to have them serving our communities," said Kevin McNab, Grey County’s Director of Paramedic Services applauded Jodi and Mike on their accomplishments.

“For years Jodi and Mike have performed their duties at a high level. They have terrific work ethics and are great role models for our younger paramedics,” said McNab. “Mike and Jodi are team players. They provide excellent patient care on calls and can always be depended on both in the field and around the base. They are both very deserving of their medals and I’m pleased to see them recognized for their remarkable service."
