The Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance has just reviewed its strategic plan for the next three years.
CEO Andrew Williams says the plan focuses on things like access to care and involving patients and their families in the decisions that affect their treatment.
Williams says the plan focuses on partnerships with other providers, which he believes will be a key to the delivery of health care over the next five years.
"We have very much committed significant energy into our Patient Family Engagement Process and as you would expect, the best care is only going to result when you involve those who are receiving the care, so it's one of the foundational pieces or our commitments as we look ahead," says Williams.
Another focus will be supporting staff in the organization to make sure they are an engaging facility for staff and for patients and families and it also highlights the performance expectations that they putting on themselves.
