Two Sauble Beach residents are facing charges of illegal production and trafficking in steroids and other drugs.
A two-month investigation involved member of the RCMP, the OPP, and the Owen Sound Police Service. It is alleged that the controlled substances were imported and distributed from a business in Owen Sound.
Search warrants were executed at a residence in Sauble Beach and a business in Owen Sound. Large quantities of steroids and other substances were seized as well as sophisticated production equipment and a prohibited firearm.
Michael Kidd, 35, is charged with importing and trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a prohibited firearm, and unsafe storage of a firearm.
Sarah Posthumus, 30, is charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a prohibited firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, and breach of recognizance.
Posthumus appears in Owen Sound court Tuesday. Kidd appeared Monday.
