A teenager from the Township of Chatsworth was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in South Bruce Peninsula.

Two young men were in a Volkswagen Jetta that left Bruce Rd. 10, just north of Hwy. 21, around 1:45am Saturday morning.

The vehicle entered the west ditch and hit a hydro pole.

The driver was pronounced dead in hospital. He's been identified as 17-year old Austin Trask of Chatsworth.

The passenger, a 17-year-old male from Owen Sound, was not injured, but was transported to hospital as a precaution.
