Environment Canada says we're in for a significant amount of snow throughout Midwestern Ontario.
Meteorologist Mark Seifert says an intense system is moving inland off Lake Huron and could bring with it some very significant snowfall; possibly even more than was seen last week throughout the region.
Seifert tells CKNX News that it's really hard to tell at this point just how much snow may accumulate, but he does say it could be upwards of 40cm or even more.
He says it all depends on whether the band of air shifts.
"If it shifts a little bit during the day, throughout the day, that could lessen the amounts (of snowfall) to a wider area; if it locks in, it could mean a very narrow area, but, potentially receiving 40cm or potentially even more than that," says Seifert.
Seifert says the winds are expected to shift in a more northerly direction by Monday night which should move the system out of the area by Tuesday.
Environment Canada says a SNOWSQUALL WARNING is continued for most of Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey and northern Wellington counties.
