Total Receipts 2234 cattle 754 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold on a strong active trade at prices $2.00 higher. Fancy steers and heifers 190.00-195.00 with a high of 206.50. Choice steers and heifers 185.00-189.00 and 2nd cut 178.00 – 185.00 Cows sold steady. Thursday Veal sold on a strong demand with beef calves steady to last week`s high market while Holstein calves sold on a slightly easier market. Lambs sold higher on a good demand. Sheep sold higher. Nannies sold steady. Kidd goats sold higher. Friday Calves sold on a strong active trade at prices $2-$3 higher. Yearlings sold steady.

Steers

Chris Smith of Brussels consigned fifteen cattle that averaged 1596 lbs and sold for an average price of 193.31. One blue steer weighed 1435 lbs and sold to St. Helens Meat Packers for a price of 206.50

David Bowles of Brussels consigned five cattle that averaged 1400 lbs and sold for an average price of 185.00. One black steer weighed 1405 lbs and sold to Horizon Meat Packers for 187.50

Heifers

Andy VanderVeen of Blyth consigned four heifers that averaged 1433 lbs and sold for an average price of 183.44. Two limo heifers averaged 1413 lbs and sold to Norwich Meat Packers for an average price of 185.00

Southlore Farms of Palmerston consigned sixteen cattle that averaged 1499 lbs and sold for an average price of 183.00. One limo heifer weighed 1400 lbs sold to Norwich Packers for 186.25. Cows There were 400 cows on offer

Lamar Frey of Listowel consigned six calves that averaged 748 lbs and sold for an average price of 239.00. One gold hfrs weighed 770 lbs and sold for 260.00. Reuben S. Martin of Wallenstein consigned four calves that averaged 789 lbs and sold for an average price of 246.00. One black heifer weighed 765 lbs and sold for 258.00.
