Break-in at Mitchell storage facility under investigation

A recent break-in at a storage unit facility in Mitchell is being investigated.

According to Perth County OPP, on May 8 police launched an investigation into a break-and-enter and theft that occurred at a storage unit facility in Mitchell between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. that morning.

Investigators are now searching for two persons of interest that were captured on surveillance video. The first suspect is described as a female who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a jacket. She was also carrying a backpack.

The second person of interest is described as a male who was wearing white shoes, a hooded sweatshirt with a t-shirt over top and dark pants.

Perth County OPP is asking anyone with any information to contact them or Crime Stoppers. Police did not specify what items were taken, the value of any stolen items or any damage that resulted from this break-and-enter.
