Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority raises $30k in annual auction

The 36th annual Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) auction ended up raising over $30,000 this year.

A statement from the ABCA shares that the online auction raised over $30,000 for local conservation projects, which included donations, proceeds from the auction and the 50-50 draw.

The money raised will help the ABCA with work on parks, trails and conservation areas, conservation education, career experience opportunities and student environmental grants for youth, habitat enhancement and events and other needed projects.

The Conservation Auction has raised more than $1.45 million over 36 years from the auction in support of needed projects in local communities.

Also, the net proceeds from the raffle draw ticket sales this year were presented to the Exeter Lions Club for their work in the community.
