Hanover police seize concealed weapon while responding to suspicious person call

A man is facing charges after Hanover police allegedly found him with a dangerous weapon up his sleeve.

Police were called Wednesday about a suspicious person on 10th Street near 24th Avenue.

When officers arrived they found a man allegedly under the influence of drugs who was carrying a concealed weapon in his coat sleeve. Police did not specify what type of weapon was seized.

The man was arrested.

A 36-year-old of no fixed address is charged with having a weapon dangerous to public peace and breach of probation.

He has been released from police custody with conditions and will appear in Walkerton court at a later date.
