Police say suspect in random assault has cut on finger

London Police say a man they're looking for after an assault in south London has a cut on his finger from the incident and they're asking for the public's help to find him.

A woman was returning to her home in the Bond Street and Beverley Street area - near the intersection of Wellington Road and Grand Avenue last Friday evening.

Police say the 22-year-old was then assaulted by a man who sustained a laceration on his finger during the attack.

The woman was not physically hurt.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5'8", with a muscular build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes, black gloves, and a black ski mask.

Investigators are asking people who live in the area with video surveillance or doorbell cameras on their homes to review their footage and contact the London Police Service if they have any information that could aid the investigation.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
