Wallaceburg man linked to tractor theft turns himself in
A 33-year-old Wallaceburg man who was wanted for skipping court last month has turned himself in.
Chatham-Kent police said the man was initially arrested on June 3 for being in possession of a stolen tractor and was later released with conditions and a court date.
Police said the man then allegedly skipped his scheduled court appearance on October 4, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Officers said the man turned himself in at police headquarters at around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
He was charged and taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

Man accused of skipping court turns up in Oil Springs
A 40-year-old Glencoe man who allegedly missed his court appearance in Chatham about a month ago made his way back to Chatham-Kent -- with a police escort this time.
CK police said the man was initially arrested in July after officers found a stolen vehicle in a parking lot on Lacroix Street in Chatham. The vehicle also had some stolen license plates attached to it at the time.
Officers said the man who was arrested in the case allegedly skipped his court date on October 26, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.
OPP arrested him at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on Oil Springs Line in Oil Springs and turned him over to CK police for court purposes.
The man was charged and later released with another court date.

Wallaceburg woman arrested for assault
A 23-year-old woman is facing an assault charge after an argument in Wallaceburg took a violent turn.
Police said they were called to Wallace Street in Wallaceburg shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday and learned that two women had been arguing when the conflict escalated to the point where one of the women closed herself in a separate room.
Officers said the other woman then allegedly pushed her way into the room and assaulted the victim.
Police were able to track down the woman accused of assault and she was arrested and charged in connection with the case.
She was taken to police headquarters and was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Damage pegged at $175K after multi-vehicle crash
Chatham-Kent police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash in Harwich Township that caused an estimated $175,000 in damage over the weekend.
CK police said emergency crews were called to the scene on Communication Road between Cundle Line and Horton Line shortly after 8 p.m. on Friday, November 17.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash and two people were taken to the hospital, but police said both of those patients suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Port-a-John fire in Blenheim
Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers is looking for tips after someone set a Port-a-John on fire early Wednesday morning.
Police said that was on George Street between Ellen Street and McGregor Street.
The damage was limited to the Port-a-John and no injuries were reported.
