Total Receipts 1587 cattle & 902 lambs & goats

Summary Tuesday Fed steers and heifers sold on a selective demand at prices $2 – $3 lower.. Choice strs and hfrs 178.00 – 181.00. Second cut 174.00 – 178.00. Cows sold fully steady on a strong active trade. Thursday Veal sold on a very strong active trade with Holstein calves $10-15 higher from last week and beef calves strong and steady. Light lambs sold steady with heavy lambs sold steady to higher. Sheep sold stronger. Goats sold steady with nannies selling higher. Friday Calves and yearlings sold on an active trade at steady prices. Steers

D Porter of Goderich consigned 4 cattle that averaged 1199 lbs and sold for an average price of 174.56. One gold steer weighed 1195 lbs and sold to Murray B Martin for 188.50.

Cleason M Martin of Newton consigned 6 steers that averaged 1403 lbs and sold for an average price of 187.32. Four limo steers averaged 1455 lbs and sold to Bruno’s Meat Distributors for an average price of 188.25.

Heifers

Les Coleman of Kippen consigned 4 cattle that averaged 1315 lbs and sold for an average price of 181.56. One pied heifer weighed 1265 lbs and sold to Cargill Meat Solutions for 187.00

Lloyd Reid of Palmerston consigned six black heifers that averaged 1407 lbs and sold to Cargill Meat Solutions for an average price of 177.00
