Spitfires Down Petes In OT

The Windsor Spitfires scored a 5-4 overtime win over the Peterborough Petes on Thursday.

Peterborough scored twice to retake the lead halfway through the second, however, Julius Nattinen was able to score and tie the game again for Windsor. Cole Purboo followed suit with a goal of his own 17:08 into the second frame to make it 4-3 for the Spitfires.

The Petes held on by scoring their fourth goal of the night with less than two minutes left in the third to force overtime, where Austin McEneny scored the game winner for Windsor.

Windsor goaltender Michael DiPietro made 34 saves out of 38 shots on net.
