The Windsor Spitfires edged the Sarnia Sting 2-1 in overtime in OHL action on Friday.
The Sting drew first blood with a goal 14:52 into the first frame. The Spitfires rallied in the second to tie the game thanks to a goal by Sean Day. Windsor was able to hold off Sarnia in a scoreless third period to force OT.
Gabriel Vilardi scored the game winner for Windsor 4:12 into extra time.
Mario Culina make 18 saves for Windsor, out of 19 shots on net.
The Spits are in London on Sunday to battle the Knights at 6pm.
