Hall Sent To Garden State

Former Windsor Spitfires star Taylor Hall is set to suit up for a new team this upcoming NHL season.

Hall has been traded by the Edmonton Oilers to the New Jersey Devils for defenceman Adam Larsson.

The former Spit has spent six season with the Oilers having his best year in 2013-2014 season where he matched his career high in goals with 27 and set career highs in assists and points with 53 and 80 respectively.

Larsson has played in 274 games for the Devils over five seasons and proving to be a steady player on the back-end in the last two campaigns with three goals, 24 points and a plus-minus of two in 64 games during the 2014-2015 season before playing all 82 games last season scoring three goals, 18 points and a plus-minus of 15.

He's also made five playoff appearances in the 2011-2012 season scoring a goal and finished with a plus-minus of three.

Hall won two Memorial Cups with the Spitfires and scored 123 goals and 280 points over three seasons from 2007-2008 to 2009-2010. He would go on to score 35 goals and 76 points in 44 playoff games with the Spits.

Hall joins former Spitfires teammate and fellow Memorial Cup winner Adam Henrique in New Jersey.

After his success with the Spitfires, Hall was selected first overall by the Oilers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Larsson was also a high pick in his draft year, being selected 4th overall by the Devils in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
