Kingsville Kings Inaugural Season Success

After a tough loss in Game 7 of the Russell Cup Finals the head coach of the Kingsville Kings is proud of what the team accomplished in its inaugural season.

"I think our guys did a really good job in the community and built a really good fan base, so definitely building blocks to grow on for next year," says Gary Astalos , head coach.

Astalos says it was amazing to see the support during the final game of the year.

"It was a sold out crowd and the community support has been unreal. The amount of season tickets already bought for next year has been overwhelming. So it's been very successful to say the least," says Astalos.

He expects some players to return to the team and has already started recruiting to fill up the rest of the roster.

"We had an older group this year so a lot of guys will move on to university or some sort of pro-hockey. I expect eight or nine players to return, it's a good core and we'll just build around that," says Astalos.
