Some former NHL players hit the ice tonight at the WFCU Centre.
It's the CARHA Hockey World Cup's feature game at 7:30pm in the main bowl arena. Torpedo from Russia plays Arsenal from Ukraine.
"Guys like Alexei Zhitnik will be playing on Team Ukraine. He played for; I think 15 years in the NHL," says CARHA coordinator Reuben Greenspoon. "There's a couple of guys on the Ukrainian team that were gold medalists in the '92 Olympics."
The game will be shown on local TV at a later date.
Greenspoon expects a good turnout.
"Tickets have been great. The tickets are free, but they do have to purchase them. So, we expect about 3- or 4,000 people will show up."
The tournament, played at venues across Windsor-Essex, wraps up on Sunday.
