73'S Take Game 5

The Essex 73's are a win away from repeating as Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League champions for a fourth straight time.

The 73's topped the Amherstburg Admirals 3-1 at the Essex Centre Sports Complex in the ever important Game 5 of the best-of-seven series.

Luke Gecse opened the scoring in the first period for the 73's, who would score in each period with Matthew Hebert and William Stadder adding goals in the second and third periods respectfully.

Luck Gangnon had the lone goal for the Admirals while Connor Meyerink made 29 saves in a losing effort.

The series shifts back to Amherstburg on Friday. Puck-drop is set for 7:30pm at the Libro Centre.
