An early autumn tradition in Windsor-Essex is ready to go.
The 47th Annual Ruthven Apple Festival, presented by Community Living Essex County, is on Saturday and Sunday at Colasanti's Tropical Gardens.
The Apple Festival is listed among the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario. To date, it has raised over $1-million to support programs that help those with intellectual disabilities.
Both days will feature over 100 craft vendors, plus 17 food and drink offerings, and a farmers' market with fresh, locally grown produce.
Sunday's program will also feature a car show.
The festival runs both days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
