If you were thinking about running in this fall's municipal election but haven't filed your nomination papers yet, time is running out.
Candidates in the October 26 vote have until 2 p.m. on Friday to file their papers to run in Windsor or in any municipality in Essex County.
Either the candidate or an agent must file the papers.
They also must be at least 18, a resident of the municipality they're running in, a Canadian citizen, and not disqualified from holding municipal office.
Residents should receive their voter registration card by early October.
Polling information will be released closer to Election Day.
