The Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) has issued a Yellow Watershed Conditions Statement due to forecasted rain.
According to the conservation authority, the region has already recorded 10 millimetres of rain and could see another 15 to 20 millimetres of rain late this evening. The ERCA warns that this could lead to ponding and areas of standing water.
Although the warning notes that the amount of rainfall falls below a Flood Watch amount, the ERCA has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement.
The conservation warns residents to be extra cautious and to avoid flooded areas.
