Final phase of setup underway for Bright Lights Windsor

In two weeks, the City of Windsor will flip the switch, and Jackson Park will be lit up with millions of Christmas lights and hundreds of displays.

As the date draws near, the city is putting up the final section of perimeter fencing around the park, in the southeast quarter of the area, including the replica warplanes monument.

Preparations began last month at the park at the corner of Tecumseh Road and Ouellette Avenue.

Last year, more than 105,000 visitors came out to Bright Lights Windsor. The first event in 2018 coincided with the city's 125th birthday celebrations and drew around 60,000 visitors.

The free event starts with opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. on November 28th and continues until January 7, 2026.
