A man charged in connection with a shooting on Erie Street last year has been arrested for breaching bail conditions.
Windsor police report the shooting happened on May 19, 2024. They say a verbal fight broke out between two men and the occupants of a silver Ford Escape.
One of the men allegedly drew a firearm and fired several shots at the vehicle as it drove away.
A 24-year-old suspect was arrested while trying to board an international flight. He was charged with discharging a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and failure to comply with a release order.
The suspect was granted bail in February. He was subject to house arrest, electronic monitoring and had to live with his surety at a LaSalle address.
Bail compliance officers determined the suspect had breached the terms of his release and he was arrested on Friday.
He is now facing an additional charge of failure to comply with a release order.
