A teacher with the Greater Essex County District School Board will face a disciplinary hearing in December.
It's alleged Rusty Goertzen failed to maintain professional boundaries with multiple female students.
The allegations include spending time with female students alone in his classroom outside of school hours, having intimate communications with students via social media, and allowing students to "hang off him" while at a basketball tournament.
The alleged activities took place between 2022 and 2024.
A discipline committee will hold a hearing on December 19, 2025 to decide whether the allegations are true and whether the teacher is guilty of professional misconduct.
