Over 18,000 people attended Windsor Symphony Orchestra events last season, resulting in more exposure and an increase in revenue.
The 2024-2025 season featured 45 mainstage concerts, five outdoor summer concerts, and 27 educational concerts.
The season put the WSO in a strong financial position with more ticket sales and an increase in bequests to the organization.
"This past year we saw an increase of revenue in excess of $300,000 and the number, while it's not the most significant, the $40,000 increase in ticket sales and performance revenue that's a good indicator for us," said Greg Turner, WSO treasurer. "That means we're growing that number, it's not one that is going to grow exponentially but modest growth there is a good sign."
Executive Director Patti Lauzon said individual ticket sales increased and season ticket holders remained steady.
"We have been trying to find out the key to maybe revamping the way we do season tickets because they're holding steady. They're not decreasing, but they're holding steady, and we want them to be up a bit," said Lauzon.
The 2025-2026 season is already underway. This is the last season curated by the late Maestro Robert Franz.
"Many of the guest conductors that are coming in were hand-picked by Robert before he passed so we feel really good about this season," said Lauzon.
