One man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery.
Windsor police responded to a report of robbery with a firearm on Thursday afternoon at a gas station on Erie Street East.
According to police, a man pumped gas into his car before driving off without paying. An employee ran after the car, opening the driver's side door. The man allegedly grabbed a gun off the passenger seat and pointed it at the employee while threatening to shoot. He then pulled out a knife and threatened to stab the employee before he drove off.
Major Crimes Unit investigators identified the suspect, and members of the Emergency Services Unit located and arrested the man a day later in a parking lot on McDougall Street.
The 41-year-old man has been charged with robbery with a weapon, assault with a weapon, pointing a gun, having a weapon with dangerous intent, carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a prohibited firearm, being in a vehicle with a firearm, and two counts of uttering threats.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
