Ontario government approves addition at St. Joseph's Catholic High School

The Ontario government has approved an addition at St. Joseph Catholic High School in Windsor.

Approval was granted to the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board to construct a $4.1-million addition, which will provide 184 new student spaces.

The Ontario government is funding $452,083 of that cost.

"With a very healthy enrolment of more than 1,300 students at St. Joseph's, we're certainly very grateful for the additional funding from the Ministry of Education that's required to build an eight-room addition there," said Director of Education Emelda Byrne. "We're looking forward to getting the project started."

"Once completed, this project will offer an inspiring learning environment that helps students prepare for the jobs of tomorrow," said Minister of Education Paul Calandra.

The project is expected to start this December and should be complete by September 2027.
