Driver seriously injured in Tecumseh crash

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a driver suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle collision.

Police from the Tecumseh detachment responded to the incident shortly after 3:30 p.m., on Manning Road south of County Road 22.

Officers found the driver trapped in the vehicle and assisted Tecumseh Fire and Rescue and Essex-Windsor EMS with extricating them.

The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was rushed to hospital where they are in serious condition.

Manning Road was closed for several hours on Thursday evening while police completed their investigation. It has since reopened.

The investigation continues.
