LaSalle police were busy over Victoria Day weekend, citing two people for stunt driving.
One incident involved a driver who police say was driving at more than twice the speed limit, and the other involved a driver doing "burnouts" on a key highway.
The first incident was at around 9 p.m. Saturday on Front Road. A LaSalle officer was on patrol when they stopped a vehicle being driven at 110 kilometres per hour in a 50 kilometre-per-hour zone.
A 26-year-old Windsor man was ticketed for stunt driving.
The second was on Highway 3 at around 1 a.m. on Monday. An officer spotted a vehicle doing "burnouts" at Sandwich West Parkway. A 25-year-old Windsor man was also cited for stunt driving.
Both drivers have had their licences suspended for 30 days, and their vehicles impounded for 14 days. Both men will also have a chance to respond to the citations in court.
The Ontario Highway Traffic Act has listed serious consequences for those found guilty of stunt driving, including fines of up to $10,000, up to six demerit points, up to six months in jail, or a combination thereof.
